Why do I need a pet agent at all from April 2026?
From 1 April 2026, owners can no longer enter the Changi Airfreight Centre to clear their own pets. Only an AVS-recognised pet agent may handle import clearance at CAPQ. We are an AVS-recognised pet agent and an AVS-licensed pet shop (AS24E00026), so we can carry the whole move including the clearance itself.
Are you on the AVS list of recognised pet agents?
Yes. Look for Mainecoon Cattery SG on AVS's published list of recognised pet agents — that is our ACRA-registered name, and Pet Agent Singapore is the trading name we work under. The same registration holds our pet shop licence, AS24E00026.
What does the CAPQ Clearance price actually cover?
It covers our professional handling: the AVS import licence application, the CAPQ inspection appointment, clearance and GST processing on arrival, and door delivery. Third-party costs — air cargo, the crate, GST itself, AVS fees and any quarantine — are billed at cost with no markup. The transparency table on our services page lists typical ranges.
How far ahead should I start?
For Schedule II and III countries, plan six to seven months. The binding constraints are the 28-day wait between rabies vaccination and the serology blood draw, and the 90-day wait between a passing serology result and export. Schedule I countries can move faster.
Are you a pet agent, a pet mover or a pet relocation company?
All three describe the same work, and we do it. "Pet mover" and "pet relocation company" are the everyday terms for arranging flights, crates and transport. "AVS-recognised pet agent" is the official status AVS grants, and since 1 April 2026 it is the one that matters at CAPQ — only a recognised agent may clear your pet. We hold it, listed as Mainecoon Cattery SG.
Do you handle dogs as well as cats?
Yes. Cats and dogs follow the same AVS import framework, with a few dog-specific rules such as banned and restricted breeds. Tell us your pet and origin country and we will map the exact path.
Is AQC quarantine included in the Full relocation price?
Our handling is an add-on (+S$420, Schedule III only). The AVS quarantine fees are passed through at cost: S$26 a day fan-cooled or S$35 air-conditioned, plus S$75 transport and S$68 for the rabies vaccination on arrival. AVS raises those daily rates to S$36 and S$44 on 1 December 2026.
Can you help if I'm buying a Bengal or Savannah kitten overseas?
Yes, as long as it is fifth generation (F5) or later. Earlier generations are banned from Singapore. We check the proof of generation before anything is booked, because AVS asks for it with the licence application and again at inspection.
