All prices are approximate and for guidance only, not a quote. Third-party costs — air cargo, crates, vet work — move with the market, and AVS fees and requirements change from time to time (AQC daily rates rise again on 1 December 2026). We confirm every figure against the current AVS guidelines before you commit to anything.

Questions

Cost questions, answered.

How much does it cost to import a cat to Singapore?

Most cat imports land between S$3,500 and S$8,500 all in, before GST. From a Schedule I country such as the UK or Australia it sits at the lower end, because there is no rabies blood test and no quarantine. From a Schedule III country, add roughly S$1,000–1,600 for the 30-day AQC stay and our quarantine handling.

Why is importing a dog usually more expensive?

Air cargo is priced on the size of the crate, so a large dog can cost two or three times what a cat costs on the same route. Everything else — licences, blood test, vet work, our fee — is broadly the same.

What is the single biggest cost?

Air cargo, almost always. It is typically half to two-thirds of the total, and it moves with crate size, route and season. It is also the line where an agent's routing choices make the most difference.

Do you mark up third-party costs?

No. Cargo, crates, vet work, AVS fees and quarantine are passed through at cost and itemised on your quote. Our fee is separate and published: S$180 for a consultation, from S$650 for CAPQ clearance and delivery, from S$2,800 for a fully managed move.

Is GST payable on a pet?

GST is payable by default at 9% of the declared import value at clearance, paid to Singapore Customs. GST relief is available for pets imported as part of a change of residence, subject to conditions and approval by Singapore Customs.

Can I save money by doing it myself?

Partly. You can handle the vet appointments, vaccinations and blood test yourself, which is where a careful owner saves most. But since 1 April 2026 the clearance at CAPQ must go through an AVS-recognised pet agent, so that step cannot be done alone. Our consultation package exists for owners who want to do the rest themselves.

When do I pay?

Third-party costs fall due when they are incurred — the vet at the vet, the airline at booking. Our fee is invoiced against the work, not upfront in full. We confirm every figure against current AVS rates before anything is booked.
